Milimar Hernandez Muñiz

Hernández Muñiz began her academic career in the Architecture program at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in Consortium with the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies. Her academic distinction gives her the opportunity to become part of the selective group from the School of Architecture that documented the Taliesin House of the prestigious architect, Frank Lloyd Wright.  She also experienced to study abroad in Italy and France, visiting countries such as Greece, Spain and Holland. 

She is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Masters Degree in Architecture, focused on Design.  Participated in the Pre-Doctoral Institute Program of the University and develops a comparative research of tropical vernacular architecture from countries such as Mexico, Brazil and Puerto Rico, its climate and sustainable development benefits.  In her academic experiences, Hernández Muñiz worked as Teacher Assistant for the Architecture Exploration Seminar at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico.  Formed part of the architecture firm Añeses and Associates, and recently has been the Documentation Consultant of IASC Company for Abbott Medical Optics in Puerto Rico.
