Roberto Garcia Soto

Roberto Garcia Soto received his Bachelor’s Degree in 1983, and his Masters of Architecture in 1990  from the school of  Architecture of the University of Puerto Rico. He was Fellow in 1984 of the College of Architects to represent the organization in the UNESCO Workshop and Course on Monument Techniques:  Roofing, Carpentry and Masonry.  National University of Haiti. 

Garcia-Soto has been involved in the education of architecture and conservation of structures as a project manager and preservation consultant for historic properties of The Conservation Trust of P.R. and as collaborator of the (Spain initiative program) Escuelas Taller in Ponce and San Juan.

 Roberto collaborated with the publication of several books on conservation materials and techniques of ancient buildings. He founded in 1996 Anastylosis de Arquitectura a design and conservation. And Anastylosis Restauro consultant and construction firm. The firm has been involved in major projects of urban development and preservation of national monuments. A has important social work as a designer and conservation consultant of various organizations such as the Cathedral of Toa Baja, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Ponce and Foster Home (Casa Cuna) in Ponce.  Garcia-Soto was faculty member of ArqPoli as a design Instructor since 1996.
