Javier Olmeda Raya
Javier Olmeda Raya is a multimedia artist and architect from San Juan. He received his Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts from the Escuela de Artes Plásticas de Puerto Rico in 2006 and his Master Degree in the Digital Tectonics Program from the Institut d’ Arquitectura Avançada de Catalunya, Barcelona in 2008. He’s been awarded several grants and competitions for his drawings (There’s no justice, it’s just us, 2007), installations (Instantes Infinitos, 2008) and has had several solo and group exhibitions in Puerto Rico, United States, Spain, Venice, and Beijng. Since October 2008, he has been teaching undergraduate courses in graphic, multimedia and industrial design in several academic institutions, as well as being Head of Digital Media in TASK, an interdisciplinary design studio based in Santurce.
